Thanks to all for the replies. I really don't mind performing the maintenance. I enjoy working on bikes and cars. The "white spacer and idle jet" to clear up the lean condition was performed after the first ride.

David K - It's nice to know that this does not appear to be a really critical item and that you have had no major problems in this area.

Andrew - I will be performing the steps as indicated in the factory manual. Two questions. The first is about the sealer for the head. Suzuki specifies Suzuki Bond 1216. I have tried to buy it at three area Suzuki dealers, none stocked it, and each said that the Yamabond 4 is the same. What have you used as a sealant? How have you torqued the two nuts that are under the intake and exhaust? I just don't see any way to get a socket and torque wrench on them or do you just make sure that they are secure by feel? Did you ever find any of the nuts that were not tight?
